| Personal History | During the Dominion War, Lieutenant Katrina Jones met and had fallen for a Commander Tol'ah who was a Klingon warrior. His ship went into the final battle in orbit of Cardassia, but never returned when his ship was destroyed. Katrina found out several weeks later that she was pregnant with his child. Which resulted in Qual'tez. Not too long after his birth, she traveled to the Klingon homeworld to introduce him to his family. Tol'ah house now headed by the child's uncle Ah'begh refused to accept the child as one of their own and without Tol'ah to stand up for the child, Qual'tez was rejected of his birth right. Qual'tez growing up in the Federation with his mother, Katrina Jones has done everything in her power to train him in the ways of his father's people. Due to being half Klingon, he grew faster than most Humans who were around him. Most of his life was spent on starship and at Starfleet Academy where his mother is assigned as Professor of Engineering, he feels a bit of pressure from his mother who for as long as he can remember has been preparing him for that time. The teen was sent to many offensive and defensive fight classes, ensured that he was involved in sports and even was pushed academically. Even though Qual'tez has enjoyed his life, the thought of having to one day return to his father's homeworld to claim his birthright intimidates him a bit. Becoming a Klingon Warrior is not on his top things to do and even though he is interested in engineering. His main interest is in operations. In 2382, Qual'tez who was in the decision of considering joining Starfleet or the Klingon Defense Forces, seen the opportunity to join Starfleet Academy's Preparatory Program. This would give him the chance to decide what he truly was for himself and the opportunity to step away from his mother and father's shadow. |
